Gasket needed

Gasket needed

2007-07-14 by Don Lattimer

I have a Essex V6 with the original fuel pump. The rubber gasket
underneath the glass bulb has deteriorated and now leaks. Anybody
have one lying around? I know, good luck...

If replacement turns out to be impossible, I'll switch to an electric
pump. Which one to use?? Not sure about fuel pressures, etc. or if
I'd need a regulator. It has a Weber 38DGAS for the carb.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Don,
If you have a natural gas company in your town, ask them for some meter washers, we use 11/4" to 2" can't remember which ones fit. They are neoprene so will work.
John.

Thanks John, I'll try that. Dimensions of the gasket are: 2 1/4"
O.D., 1 7/8 I.D., and 3/32" thick.
