US Marcos Parts Source

2007-10-10 by Marshall Moore

Hello Marcos Owners,
AS one of your fellow Marcos Maniacs mentioned here recently, I was
going to try and start stocking some Marcos parts along with my TVR
parts inventory at Classic Motor Works.
I am currently having my website person do an update to include some
Marcos parts I have currently identified as part of my stock and will
be working to expand on that in the coming months.
I hope you will watch my website at www.cmw-tvr.com for a new Marcos
link and listing of available inventory.
If there are any specific parts any of you are looking for, please let
me know and I'll endeavor to find them for you.
I look forward to working with the group.

Marsall and others,
There have been several inquiries as to if Garry Diver is still around. I tried calling him at a number he gave me a while back(Atlanta, Ga). but got no answer. I also tried calling Roger Andresson in Jupiter, Fl. at Chevron/Tiga (he worked with Garry), and the number is disconnected. The warehouse door (in Jupiter) still has the name showing, but all the parts outside are gone. It appears they may have moved to a new location. Roger was selling a lot of race stuff on eBay, but I haven't seen any listings recently.
Marshall, Good luck to you if you take on the Marcos range. There is probably a limited market as you well know, but at least there are a lot of common parts shared by TVR ond others. It sounds like there are a few of us out there that have both marques in our garages. I will definitely check out your website!

I guess I am one of the lucky?? ones to have both a
TVR and Marcos. I bought alot of stuff from Gene Bird
back in the mid 80's and found him very helpful. I
sold my 70 Vixen S2(bought in 82) to Bob Ross but kept
the 74 2500M which now has 20 years on the restoration
(needs minor spider crack repairs and a new paint
job). I did buy a couple of items from Garry (got the
wrong trottle cable for my car thru him even though he
said it was the correct on..... 25$) Currently using
a heavy duty bike break cable in the orignal sheeve,
ditto for the TVR btw. As for the 85 Marcos 3.5V8 I
will be in need of some brake parts soon and will be
in touch.

Good luck with the business, it you see Gene tell him
I appreciate all the years he took care of me.
