Wanted (the impossible dream) - type 9 to Essex engine bell housing

Wanted (the impossible dream) - type 9 to Essex engine bell housing

2012-01-19 by a5h_pm

Hi, it's been a while since I posted on here!

As the title suggests I am looking for either a bell housing (ideally for a hydraulic clutch but I think this unlikely) or a convertor plate to allow me to connect a type 9 Capri box to the back of an Essex V6. Or does any one have a plate I can copy?

Many thanks
Ashley
#5504

PS the 2000e gearbox is now being used on the V6 but I know this is a med duty gearbox really! It has been fully rebuilt though, so may be fine for years to come!

Ashley,

I have a hydraulic clutch bell housing for the Ford V6 Essex. The only
problem is it is in the UK.

John

Thanks John, that looks like the bellhousing I have at the moment for a 2000e to v6 (the type 9 has a different bolt pattern I think).

How much would you be after anyway as I could still possibly modify this?

Ash,

£40 would do it. My family live in Harpenden so I could arrange for it to be delivered there.

I am going to be away until the 13th February, and could deliver it after then.

Give me your address and phone number to my Email address which is : john_sutton@...

John
