Williamsburg British & European Show April 12

Williamsburg British & European Show April 12

2014-04-01 by <dmensh@...>

Mike Sullivan, Bob Magnotti and Michael Crews...hope you all are well and made it through this horrible winter here in the central East Coast area (snowed again yesterday followed by 3"of rain). I am hoping that April 12 is nice weather as the Williamsburg British & European Show in Chickahominy Va. is happening and De and I drove #5101 down (little over 3 hours for us) last year for the event. As I was on the field, a gentleman came up to me and said his neighbor had a Marcos and he lived only 20 minutes from the show! Knowing where about you lived, I asked if it were you Mike and he said it was. Bob, I know you have been working on a clutch problem and Michael is always about taking fabulous photos of fabulous race cars, but if any or all of you were able to make this show, it would be great to see you all again. They are featuring Sunbeam Tiger and I will be riding down with a few Tiger friends (looking for more Marcos friends here!) from the DC area, weather permitting. If there is any other Marcos owners out there close by I would love to meet you and see your car. By the way, I purchased #5156, '68 1600 Woodie last year (sitting in garage as a storage box since 1974) and in the middle of complete re-do in my garage. Hope to be able to put on the full court press this year to complete.

Best Regards and hope to see you all soon,

I might be interested if the other Marcs' or Marcii attend. I have a slight problem in that we have some vacation time planned around that time (not sure about the actual dates) that might interfere with packing (getting out of that would be good!) so I'm in at this point.

Hello to all.

I have a 1965 marcos #3040. I have been restoring it for 2 yrs & am almost done. I live in Saratoga Springs NY and am hoping to have it on the road by the end of April. The car has been off the road since the 70's an I just found it a few yrs ago. Mechanically it has been total strip down and rebuit. It has been invited to a few invertationals and I'm hoping to have it done in time. If anyone is in the area or knows of events in the Northeast please let me know.
Thank you
Steve

Hey, guys,
I sure would like to make it, but I am on the down slide of a complete resoration of a car from New Jersey that belongs to Chris Scafario (chassis no. 3v5640), and want to finish it before I can do any more traveling. I am having an electrical problem with my car and have not been able to locate the source of that porblem. I have not seen any smoke and all my ground seem to be good.
Y'all have a good get together and send some pictures.

Regards,
Larry

Steve . . .

British Car Day in Bronte Ontario is the largest British car show in North America – over 1,000 classic cars on the field. And a class (HH) for Marcos!

I have never been, but those who have say Stowe is worth the trip:

Again, I have never been to this one in Rochester, but it should be an easy drive for you:
