Does anyone know if there is an US source for AVO shocks or a US brand equivalent for a 1970 3 litre Volvo coupe. I have the active handling package from Rory but wuld lie to change. Bill Black 3V5680

Bill,
Just went thru this process on my 3L and found none in the US but you can work directly with AVO.
Only issue is the cost to ship across the pond. Shocks are PE529 fronts and PE951 rears and they can do springs as well. Front springs for me were E9250 and the rear were E9170, 250lbs and 170lbs.which may not be what you want for springs. I have not ordered them yet but will soon as I run AVO's on my Elan and they work very well.

My 3L is a wood chassis and yours should be fine also. You would need to select the correct spring weight.

Hi Bill
I also have a 6 cyl Volvo with the Borg warner, yellow exterior , black interior! ( 3V5613)
Please keep us up dated on the shocks as my car also suffers.
Currently I have the driver's door apart because the interior latch is binding and I can't figure out why. It's embarrassing to drive the car and can't open the door.

I have the shocks on the car and they are great. Gained 1/2 inch of clearance (I have the 13" wheels). I may stiffen up the ride a little more as they are adjustable. They were expensive because of the lousy worth of the US dollar. Bill Black 3V5680
