Help!!!!!!!!

2007-04-12 by tronbros@aol.com

Dear All,

Will ny of you with an understanding of Broadband connectivity come to my
rescue as neither AOL or my line provider can advise.

I had broadband for six months without a hitch. Four weeks ago the
telephone line suddenly went noisy when using the handset of the phone and I could
hear the modem talking despite a filter. I exchanged the filter twice but the
problem persists. Now it has become worse as I have to lift the receiver on
the phone until I can hear the modem make connection and then unplug the
handset as replacing it disconnects the broadband reception. Where I live is
rural and the feed to my house is still two copper wires. However, this proved
no problem for the first 6 months. What changed, what can I do, how is the
phone interacting when it didn't before? Any help from the list would be much
appreciated.

Frustrated beyond sodding belief,

Martinge
