Mellotronists

Is your Mellotron at your house or at a recording studio or...? Just 
was wondering. My M-400 is in my office downtown. I figure that's the 
safest place for it to be--away from smokers, curious kids, etc. as 
my place can be grand central station. I thought the best place would 
be in my basement, but upstairs are all these aquariums--and if one 
broke or the washing machine or dishwasher leaked, the basement 
wouldn't be a good place. On the other hand, if I had a Mk 2 or a 
Hammond B-3 or a Steinway piano or something like that, I'd be more 
apt to present them as a piece of furniture --if I had the room! 
They'd be at my mother's house--as she has a spacious safe home. I 
tend to be overprotective of these things, and I was wondering how 
some of you deal with it.
