When I bought my 400 it came with a plastic champagne "cork" as the switch cover from obviously a very cheap bottle. You know, it looks like a big plastic mushroom with the stem hollowed out. I used it like that until it came off one day while turning it on and what was living inside the stem? My pretty well preserved cap! So, cheap champagne corks fit perfectly over your tired or cracked cap or use it to preserve your existing cap. Now, if the bulb was bright enough to light the whole thing up, you might have somethin'. Those old red Colgate toothpaste caps look pretty close to the lens cover...maybe something from a '58 Cadillac model kit from Revell would work--like the fin tail lights maybe? At least you'd have three spares. To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: Mellotronists-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
