Re: [Mellotronists] Crimson's Trons

2004-01-13 by J.K.Beresford

There's a couple of nice pics of Les at Grosvenor Studios
surrounded by lots of bits of tron and tape making equipment on
Kean's site. Is this where most of the tron recording sessions were
done?

i had him sign all my japanese box set thunderbird laserdiscs.

And do you know where the SFX for those programmes were
made? None other than Grosvenor Studios in B'ham where a lot of
the Rime takes were done. We initially started to make tapes at
Grosvenor before getting kitted out ourselves. John Taylor is
credited on Thunderbirds, Stingray and Fireball. He was Les
Bradley's closest friend and is now over 80 years old. The last of
the the true masters of analogue recording and a nice bloke.
