Speaking from personal experience I rarely "get" a new CD at the first playing. Usually by play 5 I'm synched and reveling in the music. That was not the case with "the Lamb" as I heard it first live and it certainly remains on my top 10 list, really closer to top 5. I don't have a problem with drum machines as long as they are one of the good ones. I sold my TR-808 for a digital unit and have been trying to get a Roland back ever since!
