According to the booklet in the recent 3-CD Vertigo set, 'Ramases' was from Yorkshire or somewhere, and you're right about the 10cc connection. Did a 2nd album in the mid-'70s (those were the days!), and ended up comitting suicide, sadly. Haven't heard either album. Andy T.
