I'm going to go and live in a > cave. i hear ya. my father [an engineer of many sorts] used to try and explain things to me. he finally gave up after spending 2 hours trying to explain his slide rule to me. he wore it in a pouch on his belt the way people wear a cell phone today. he was better at doing than he was at teaching. i inherited the slide rule. still have it. still have no idea how he used it.
