I saw the bandaged one open for Gary Numan in the 1980s as well. (Look,
it was a 'take the girlfriend' thing, right?) He opened with some violin
piece which lasted thirty seconds until his console exploded in a shower
of sparks. The he whipped out his mandolin and did a few Deep Purple
riffs whereupon the lights went out. Rock and roll.
