Let's take a ride in the Way Back Machine

Let's take a ride in the Way Back Machine

2006-04-18 by Rick Blechta

Here's a link to some very interesting photos and information for all
us old farts in the crowd. The site belongs to one Nash the Slash, a
well-regarded violinist in prog circles here in Canada and elsewhere.
Nash was in Toronto's first progressive band, Breathless, and went on
to found the very well-regarded FM.

Anyway, he and his camera were around way back when. Enjoy!

Rick

PS Oh yeah...the link: http://www.nashtheslash.com/history/

When Nash The Slash takes off the top-hat and bandages in the morning,
he turns into Rick Blechta. (Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde)

Rick....What is his real name? What does he do for a day job? He was
a Reporter for a Toronto newspaper wasn't he?

Clay

I saw the bandaged one open for Gary Numan in the 1980s as well. (Look,
it was a 'take the girlfriend' thing, right?) He opened with some violin
piece which lasted thirty seconds until his console exploded in a shower
of sparks. The he whipped out his mandolin and did a few Deep Purple
riffs whereupon the lights went out. Rock and roll.
