I'm surprised that no one in the 50s/60s latched onto the Chamberlin in film music, given that theremins and Novachords etc. were all the rage in scifi & horror films of the day. One might think that Harry Chamberlin would have tried to introduce his instrument down in Hollywood, given the proximity of his home in Upland. Think of all those low budget producers who might have wanted a big orchestral sound but didn't have the bucks for a good ensemble.
