My Valerian

Yes but if you've nothing better to do,
why not have a wee listen to our latest track,
which was what we produced after getting the Pindertron
CD-ROM a few weeks ago...

It's nice, we go all the way back to AD260 and get trapped
inside Dusty Springfield's beehive...

Very snuggly, but not in an ambiently snuggly way, necessarily. :-)

I like the instrumental break at around 2:00.

I think you captured "that 60s pop sound" quite nicely. Lots of 'tron
sounds in use and layered up, but it doesn't come across as being over-done.

I could see that as being a song in the background somewhere in the movie
"The Wonders". Got that beehive thing goin'.

Hmmm...a "wall of 'tron" would be great for that Phil Spector moment
(although not one of Phil's recent moments, of course).

Flute and the mixed choir.... Anything else in there?

Yeah---Hammond, throughout. The 'tron butchers that sound just like
everything else, making it somehow oddly appealing, if heavy and morose,
like the 'tron piano. Also Vibes are in there, I'm sure (buried in there
toward the end).

It's getting rotation in Winamp today on my PC. :-)

Actually...hold on...on the htm page they listed the Pinder CD sounds used:

combined brass, three violins, string section, flute, Hammond organ,
vibraphone, 8 voice choir

There ya go!

...kl...M400 #805 - wants Hammond and piano now
