Orchestron/Optigan CD rom

There's one for sale on Dave Kean's site.I was wondering if anyone
here has heard or used this one? I was considering it since the
Pinder CD is so good.

Thanks for the tip Mattias! I'm going to try to push the Optigan on my
band and see how long they can stand it. Heh.

THEY made it. Kean was responsible for the Akai
formatting and supplied some of the rarer
disks....most notably, the Chilton Talentmaker Disks.
There are only TWO known sets of those out there in
the world. And, not to mention, it's an Audities
produced disk.

Re: [Mellotronists] Re: Orchestron/Optigan CD rom

If it doesn´t work...change band.
Oddly enough ( there hasn´t been Optigan talk for a while ) I had a releaseparty last night for my Akmomo album which is an album recorded entirely on the Optigan, Orchestron and Mellotron. If anyone is interested in getting a copy let me know and I´ll sort out a good Mellotronists-introductory price with the label.
Best regards,

Mattias,

No big deal...just credit where it' due. They are
working on another disk now that is Hammond Novachord,
Hammond S, Hammond Solovox, Ondes Martenot and some
other like designed instruments. I guess, from the
list of subjects, that the idea is about tube
oscillator instruments. That should be fun.

By the way, what happened with Pine Forest Crunch? I
really liked that first album.

Re: [Mellotronists] Orchestron/Optigan CD rom

Very True.

I was contacted several years ago to supply samples of the "Country
Sunshine" disc. After that I don't think I listened to that disc for a good
2 months. Think of a sugary version of the Bonanza theme, and you have an
idea of what that Country Sunshine sounds like.

Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the CDROM so I can't give a personal
review, but the disc spent a looooong time in the betatest phase, so after
all that time it *should* be quite good.
