Streetly/Mellotron t-shirts

2004-05-18 by ithronor

Hi again,

I just noticed the t-shirt Brian Kehew is wearing in the Chamberlin
prototype picture at the www.mellotron.com site (http://www.mellotron.
com/ltor.htm) - is that a single item he made for himself, or is it
possible to order one's own? It's quite nice. :)

Regards,

Dagfinn

I doubt that he made it himself since I have one just like it. I bought
it from DK over 6 years ago, so I don't know if anything like it is
still available. Unfortunately it's the only thing I own with the
Mellotron logo on it.

Snooping around a bit I found this reference in the links section of
Don's Mellotron Page (http://www.till.com/articles/Mellotron/), in the
description of the www.mellotron.com site:

'Dave Kean's Mellotron paradise. Dave purchased the old Mellotron
factory, parts, stock, tapes, trademark, the works. He offers
service, replacement parts, tapes, expert advice, Tee-shirts, a CDROM,
and has even produced a couple small runs of a new Mark VI Mellotron.'

So at least they *used* to sell those things. I wonder if they've
still got some in stock. In that case I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
And I'm thinking I'm not the only one.

Regards,

Dagfinn

HI Dagfinn,

Last I checked, they were out of those T shirts. I
need another myself, I've worn two of them to shreads
over the years. There also used to be a guy on the
east coast that was making some cool black ones. I'll
see if I can scare up his email addy.

I want one of those Streetly green jobs like they wore at Glen Mills.
Of course I don't qualify technically to wear one but I have been known
to be a poseur (although never rude).

Gino Wong

A guy who really needs a power cable for a Wurlitzer 100 series e-
piano, a Roland US-2 switch and help designing a modern replacement EMS
KS pcb.
