I never knew whether the endless saga of the Uriah Heep 'tron ever
finalised as a happily ever after story, but the fact of the matter is
that someone here was stung, and it certainly has made me gunshy of
ever purchasing anything pricey on eBay if it has come to something as
easy as someone doing a cut and paste of any item they can cash in on. 

I'd just say you better have a webcam on a long cord with appreciable
video resolution, and then after illuminating the item, then point the
cam out a window to verify the neighborhood you claim you live in. 

Ask me to do the same on a big ticket item, and I'd gladly comply.

Yes it did.  There was a genuine seller and scam sellers.   The genuine 
seller sold to a guy on this list and the others perished at the  magic sword of 
Zondor.
