It's tight, but I used that spacing on my Chorus and Interpolating Scanner - basically 2 jacks and 2 potentiometers across a 2U panel. I'd rather have it tight then go up to the next size panel. I find that I turn the knobs with just two fingers so the cable in the jack on the right fits into the "cup" of my hand. Besides, I don't think the Aux control will get used that much. I made a few more tweaks to the center switches. They almost line up with the top legends so I shifted them slightly and just used a horizontal line to tie them to the controls.
