Re: Model 12 6dB/12dB knob

2007-02-19 by jalmari3

In most situations (with my unit) I would call the difference between
12 o'clock and full clockwise settings very subtle. If anyone is
interested, here is a little test showing also some volume
differences:
http://www.esnips.com/doc/4f90400f-87e7-4632-9e73-

- 440 Hz saw in
- Level at 12 o'clock
- Bandwith at full counter clockwise
- Frequency little past 10 o'clock (emphasizing 3rd partial)
- Resonance at max
- Q Low
- Lowpass output

00:00 As above - Quiet output.
00:02 Bandwith to 12 o'clock - Big differene in timbre and more
volume.
00:05 Bandwith to full clockwise - Very little difference.
00:08 Switch to Q High, which gives higher resonance frequency.
Turning Freguency knob counterclockwise to emphasize 3rd partial
again.
00:14 3rd partial found by setting Frequency knob at 9 o'clock -
Strong resonance.
00:16 Bandwith to 12 o'clock (from full clockwise) - Subtle
difference.
00:20 Bandwith to full counter clockwise - Very big difference in
timbre and quiet output again.
