info needed on 16 pin dual row 0.1" header

2008-04-28 by Herman Pearl

I'm ordering power bus boards from Ken Stone's site.
Sorry to trouble folks for a part numbers but nothing
comes up with the description for:

16 pin dual row 0.1" header

I'll need a bunch of those sockets for a portable case I'm putting
together and I don't want to order the wrong thing. Anyone know the
exact part number or any tips on putting these together?

Thanks in advance

waht you need are sometmes called HEADER CONNECTORS. IDS or IDC
series. You can get them in a length (pin count) longer than what you
need, you just cut them down easily with small wire snips. They come
with gold plated contacts and simply tin. The best price I've seen is
All Electronics, $1.25 for 40 pin dual in line (two rows of 20 pins).

hope this helps,
