QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi all, 

I recently needed to print a large quantity of prints and
I checked where I could save time. I finally tested for the first time
the bi-directional speed instead of uni-directional. Guess what? I did
not see any quality difference.... 

So my question is: is there any
good reason to stick to uni-directional and in which case?
