hallo, i am having a problem printing on super B size paper, other sizes work fine. made custom size for it but the QUAD1400 driver says image size 964 x 1454 is not valid and fails. the image is 4420 x 6460.. any ideas? thank you!

Super B, Super A3, A3+ are all 13" x 19" or 330mm x 483mm in size. That size is listed in QTR, 3rd in the list. The numbers that you are using are a lot larger than that. Are you using pixels, or .1mm instead of mm? 4420 x 6460 pixels at 400ppi or 360ppi would fit on 13x19. Cheers --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "ormusrio" <ormus1@...> wrote:

QTR wants the custom size in inches or mm, not pixels. You need to specify the number of pixels per inch that you want your image to be printed. Go to your image editing software and specify the image size and number of pixels per inch. If you do not want to resample your image then specify a PPI of 360 or 400. The resulting image sizes will fit on the page. Cheers --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "ormusrio" <ormus1@...> wrote:

Hello al, While printing my 21 step gray scale in BO mode, I noticed that I had microbanding. I made nozzle clean and check, realignement... But without any change. This is a SP 1400, with Eb1400 kit. This microbanding happens only on the black head (Eboni 100%). I have the feeling that when I start printing the microbanding is not there, and after a few prints it's getting worse. I would be very grateful if anyone could give me a trick.... Thx Sylvain. Hi all, I recently needed to print a large quantity of prints and I checked where I could save time. I finally tested for the first time the bi-directional speed instead of uni-directional. Guess what? I did not see any quality difference.... So my question is: is there any good reason to stick to uni-directional and in which case? Thx Sylvain M.
