QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi, I am new to QTR and have a couple of issues. Firstly I am using a Mac with 10.6.8 with epson pro 4800.
I am wanting to print the inkseparation.psd to establish the ink limits. All the inkseperation files in the images folder seem to have magenta lines and not there proper colours? Am I missing something here?
When opening the tif or psd file they do not have any embedded profile so do I leave as is?
Also can you please confirm that you print this using the calibration setting from the QTR 4800 printer setings?
