Hi Dick, Windows still runs printing off a service - you can start, stop, and restart the services from the services.msc application. I'm doing this all on my windows xp VM: Go to Start -> Run -> type in services.msc and hit enter You can find the print spooler in here and control it by clicking on it and selecting stop (if it's started) and restart from the left hand side of the window. If this doesn't work, the print spooler might need to be re-installed: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverfiles/thread/6de177db-df34-4801-be93-1a8e4231f183 You might try booting off your windows install cd and see if you need to run a repair on the operating system, as well (this is much easier than completely reinstalling the OS). Good luck and I hope this helps! Nick --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "richard Sullivan" <richsul@...> wrote: > > Thanks.
