QTR-Quadtone RIP

I made a post about the 1400 with the question if the Epson 1400 could handle thicker art papers. This seems to be the case, in fact the 1400 seems to handle thicker papers very well. I still can buy the 1400 but Epson has replaced the 1400 with the updated 1430 (or in europe) 1500W. This model has an updated 'appearance' as well as wifi onboard. I don't know if internal parts are changed, that's why I repeat my question here: can the Epson 1430 / 1500W handle thicker fine art matte papers? Any users who can confirm?
