May I ask what sort of density range it achieves on a carbon print and if you have to truncate the curve to a suitable density range in photoshop or have it truncated for you by inkjetmall people? "This update is a way to use both Piezography Digital Negative and the Piezography K7 printing systems together by swapping out two ink positions and using newly reorganized QTR curves when one wants to make digital negatives – and then swapping back in the two original Piezography ink positions in order to make prints." You can basically switch the inks with a couple of power cleaning. The switch does waste some ink, but gives you the flexibility of making high quality K7 monochrome prints and digital negatives. What you lose, obviously, is the ability to make color prints. I have installed this inkset on my Epson 3800 and am getting negatives for carbon printing that are much freer of artifacts than I was ever able to get with the Epson K3 ink set. > > > > http://www.piezography.com/PiezoPress/blog/piezography-digital-negative-update/ > > > > > > Sandy > > > > > > > > > > --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "John" <jthacker@> wrote: > > > > > > Sorry if I didn't provide enough detail, but I'm using a MAC, Espon 3880 UC, and Ilford Multigrade Fiber glossy.
