I see Jon is already talking about my new software. But I think its a bit confusing. There is no change to QTR -- on a Mac its a print driver and will remain that way for the foreseeable future. What is new is a completely new standalone program for layout and printing. Naturally it works well with the QTR print driver but also works with other OS X print drivers. The software is well tested already but website and docs are in progress. Understanding the QTR driver would not be time wasted. More to come soon. On Piezography's Facebook page, Jon Cone talks about QTR's upcoming release of their product as a standalone RIP (as opposed to a printer driver). I'm in a busy production environment and don't really want to invest the time of familiarizing myself with the QTR print driver if a standalone RIP is imminent.
