so how bright a light are you looking at this under?
The eye is not very good at deep dark shadow separation.
I find you need a pretty bright light source to see deep shadow on lustre.
On the other hand when you shine a bright light on it, it's amazing how
much detail you can make out.
Ever wondered why those galleries shine spot lights on their paintings /
prints :)
