QTR-Quadtone RIP

The QIDF files go in the Profiles folders. The QUAD files are created by the
Curve Creation process and are placed in the correct folder for you. Of course,
there is no particular reason why the QIDF files need to go in the Profiles
folders. They can go anywhere you want to keep them. The ones that are
distributed with the install program are all placed under the Profiles folders.
 
SO
 
If you get a QIDF file from someone, the way you get to use it as a curve is to
open it in the Curve Creator and click on the Create Curve button.

I'm sorry I'm not making myself clear.  If I want to use those curves which one
(QIDF or QUAD) would I add to the QuadToneRIP->Profiles->2200-ut7 folder?  Or do
add both?

You would edit the QIDF file. Quadprofile converts it into the numbers that
QuadToneRIP uses to map colors to inks. Take a look at the QUAD file. There is a
list of numbers for each ink that represents the curve for the ink.
