Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: Epson 1400 profiles

2013-01-17 by Mike Finley

The reason the question was asked is because the usual use of QTR is for
managing the printing of monochrome images using inksets with multiple
shades of grey. The 1400 only has a single black ink, and no greys in
the standard epson inkset, and so would not normally be used with QTR
and the standard Epson inks. The profiles provided are for specific
monochrome inksets that people have used in the R1400 printer. (Most
profiles are provided by users.)
If you wish to use the Epson inks and so still be able to print in
colour, QTR may not be the best solution. Do you have any print
profiling tools?
