Banding within 30mm from top and bottom of paper... This is also a problem with my Epson 2880 printer. My workaround is front feeding my paper - not sure if you can do that with the 1500. I place the paper on a mat, 25mm lower than the front border. I make a custom size format for the printer driver that is longer than the format I am actually using. That way I can almost print over the entire sheet without the banding issues at top or bottom. I can't print 30mm at either end of the paper as the banding is very noticeable here. This appears to be to do with the spacing of the print rollers, so maybe paper transit is an issue. I'm not sure how to check nozzle alignment. Would this be part of the nozzle check pattern? > > Ross > > --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, Mike Finley <mike@> wrote: > > > > re the micro banding - have you done a nozzle check? > > I've found that the QTR driver (on a PC) is much more sensitive to > > nozzles misfiring (or being slightly deflected from their correct > > position) than the Epson driver. > > > > > > -- > > mike finley photography > > http://www.mikefinley.co.uk > > >
