QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi,

I am a MAC OS 10.6.8 user in the process of teaching an alternative printing workshop to a person who uses a Windows 8 operating system. I use QTR to print digital negatives. I create my profiles with the text.edit program on the MAC, save the files to the Profile folder of QTR for the printer, then run the Install Printer# command. This installs the .quad file in the proper folder.

Can someone describe a simple step-by-step procedure that I can follow to help this student use my profiles, either the .txt version or the .quad form, in Windows 8? I have managed to show her how to download QTR and get it installed on the Windows 8 PC, but beyond this I am totally lost with the OS.
