Re: Install Profiles with QTR in Windows 8

2013-03-21 by GoogleSearchUser

Sandy,
To edit the txt files on a PC, I use TextPad. I use this app after your advice on switching ink positions on my 3800 piezo ink printer. You should have your student check that the QTR print dialog runs on Window 8. As of a couple of months ago, I could not get it to run properly. It does however run on Windows 7. The QTR website states that version 2.7.2 supports Window 7, but Win 8 is not mentioned.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
John

I create my profiles with the text.edit program on the MAC, save the files to the Profile folder of QTR for the printer, then run the Install Printer# command. This installs the .quad file in the proper folder.

I have managed to show her how to download QTR and get it installed on the Windows 8 PC, but beyond this I am totally lost with the OS.
