Hi Kate, My guess is that the .acv curve you have is in RGB format rather than grayscale. It's hard to tell which it is, but what determines it is the file that's open when you save the .acv. You should be able to open any grayscale file, then in Curves open your .acv and re-save it. If that doesn't work send me the .acv and I'll see if I can see why.
