Error message in installing curves

2013-06-01 by KateJ

Hello Everyone -
I am trying to install a curve on the 3880. I have done this before (two weeks ago for platinum and last week for cyanotype!) but this time I can not get it to work. This is the error message:

I have tried different versions of the curve, opening it in photoshop and resaving it and compared the text file to other files - - any clues? Thanks so much.

Hi Kate,

My guess is that the .acv curve you have is in RGB format rather than
grayscale.
It's hard to tell which it is, but what determines it is the file that's
open when you
save the .acv. You should be able to open any grayscale file, then in
Curves open
your .acv and re-save it.

If that doesn't work send me the .acv and I'll see if I can see why.

Roy
