Re: [QuadtoneRIP] How do I create a new "Printing Model"

2005-09-30 by Carl Schofield

I'm using a Mac and I just highlight the file name of the installer script in the finder and type the new name. When you run the re-named installer it will create a new Quad printer with the new name you used for the installer and if it is in a folder with curve files they will also be installed. In the example, CSNK stands for carbon sepia and neutral K inksets, which just happens to be what I'm currently using in my 4000 in a dual quad configuration.

I noticed in a message from Roy, and quote:

they are not all together.

The main organizational change is to add the ink type to the printer
names for the non-epson inks. So 2200 with NK7 inks will be Quad2200-
NK7. UT7 inks are under Quad2200-UT7 etc.

If you use the install scripts that I have you can do your own
inksets easily by renaming the Install script.
So Install4000-CSNK would give you a Quad4000-CSNK printer.

could someone please explain how to go about this,
