I have a brand new iMac running OSX10.8.4, the processor is 3.4Ghz Intel Core i7. My printer is a new Epson 3880 and I have it hooked up via Ethernet, so it has a network address. Any time I try to print, the print dialogue provides both the option to use the EpsonStylusPro3880-849299 (IP), and the Quad3880. I thought I followed the instructions correctly for setting up the QTR printer, which includes putting in the IP address for a network printer. Yet, every time I try to use the Quad3880, the printer app., the one that shows the cue and active print jobs, shows the progress bar that appears as if the print job is being processed, and yet, nothing happens. If I print with the normal network printer, it works fine, but of course that won't work for QTR files. My second problem is that I am trying to print the Inkseparation file in calibration mode, so that I can get started printing but there appears to be no way to turn off colour management. It is either "Printer manages colour" or "Photoshop manages colour". When I did the workshop with Ron Reeder, QTR seemed so simple. I can't get anything to work so far. The QTR version I installed is the latest, 2.7.2.
