I have a similar issue with the R3000. I cannot print images that start closer than about 1" from the top of the paper, because it bands badly and gradually builds up ink density in the first ½" of the image. There is something goofy with the driver when it comes to that printer. I don't have this issue on my 7800. Unfortunately, it limits me to making my images small enough to fit on the page with a minimum of a 1 to 1-½ inch top border. Is this a Gutenprint issue or something?
