If you're getting psychedelic colour, the K7 profile is definitely the wrong one for you (K7 is for a third party inkset, where all inks are shades of black/grey). You need to select a profile for the standard inkset, and the paper you are using - I can't help with how to do that, as I'm unfamiliar with the Mac interface, but someone else will probably be able to help with that!
