QTR-Quadtone RIP

I assume some members of this group are using an Epson R2400 with QTR.
I would love to know whether those who use it are happy with the
results and if there are any significant downsides to the printer or
the K3 inks.

I currently own an R800. I assume the K3 inks & the R2400 will produce
better B&W prints with QTR than my R800. (Otherwise I will put off
buying the R2400 for a few months and use QTR with my current
printer.)

I would be inclined to use Matte papers but I'd love to know whether
the R2400 does with with both Matte & Glossy. The R800 has the extra
gloss optimizer that the R2400 doesn't. I certainly intend to use
glossy for color. I hope the R2400 handles it well.
