QTR-Quadtone RIP

Need to understand a few thing ref the QTR RIP 

I am currently using an Epson R2400 with Qimage, I take it that my B&W 
prints are going to improve with the RIP !

Apologies if some of these questions are dumb ! 

1) Can the RIP be used in conjunction with Qimage ? (suspect not) 


2) I see that the RIP offers standard paper sizes, can I use these 
sizes to print borderless images ? (assume that the whole purpose of 
the RIP is that it does not use the Epson driver, hence there is not 
the option to tick, borderless ?)
  

3) Qimage uses very advanced algorithms for interpolating the image to 
different sizes, will this be lost when using a RIP what algorithm is 
used by the RIP? standard bicubic ?
