I recently looked up implications of Microsoft no longer upgrading WIN XP. Figures indicate around 30% of PC computers around the world are still using XP. Microsoft wants to “encourage” these users to pay them to upgrade. Because of shared code between XP, Vista and Win 7 bugs found will be corrected in the later systems, but not XP. People will exploit these knowing XP is not revised, and there are many XP computers around. Best advice was, if connected to the internet get a good anti-virus program. If not it does not matter. I have several XP machines I will use until they die. Microsoft really never offered any good support anyway.
