Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Eboni 6 + OS X + Photoshop CC 2015 : Always use Printer Manages Colors ?

The best way I have found to do this is with a spectrophometer (iOne or iOne 2) that will scan in one swipe either a 21 step gray or 21X4 random target. The basic steps, once you have set the ink limits and values for your inkset, are.
1. Print a 21 step or 21X4 random target, with your profile, with no curve. The targets are available in the iOne folder of QTR.
2. Scan the target with the iOne (or iOne 2). This creates an output file of lab values. You do this with one swipe.
3. Drop the output file on the QTR-Linearize-Data program, which will create output for the Linearize command.
4. Insert the Linearize data into your profile.
5. Run the QTR install command for your printer.
I find the use of the iOne for this purpose much easier and faster than the Spyder Print 3 since the Spyder only does one reading of the target at a time.
The iOne is used with the Measure Tool, which does not work with MAC OS above 10.6.8. The iOne 2 works with iProfiler with current MAC systems.
