Kerry,Attached is a descriptor file and curve I developed before my 7900 bit the dust. The curve is a PDN 40 calculation so it has contrast built in. If they want to do their own calibration they can eliminate the GREY_CURVE line in the file.Hope this helps.AlanN_OF_INKS=8DEFAULT_INK_LIMIT=100Print_Curve=YesLIMIT_K=16BOOST_K=20LIMIT_C=16LIMIT_M=16LIMIT_Y=16LIMIT_LC=32LIMIT_LM=0LIMIT_LK=32LIMIT_LLK=32# Describe usage of each ink# All inks must be listed# Gray Partitioning InformationN_OF_GRAY_PARTS=2GRAY_INK_1=KGRAY_VAL_1=100GRAY_INK_2=LKGRAY_VAL_2=40GRAY_INK_3=GRAY_VAL_3=GRAY_INK_4=GRAY_VAL_4=GRAY_INK_5=GRAY_VAL_5=GRAY_INK_6=GRAY_VAL_6=GRAY_INK_7=GRAY_VAL_7=GRAY_INK_8=GRAY_VAL_8=GRAY_HIGHLIGHT=0GRAY_SHADOW=25GRAY_GAMMA=1GRAY_CURVE=/Applications/CCII Mac Leopard v2.1L/Quad 7900KJ40.acvCOPY_CURVE_C=KCOPY_CURVE_M=KCOPY_CURVE_Y=KCOPY_CURVE_LC=LKCOPY_CURVE_LLK=LKOn Jan 25, 2016, at 6:27 PM, 'Kerik Kouklis' kerik@... I’ve been using QTR for making digital negatives for platinum/palladium printing for many years. I have a few students that now have x900 series printers (9900 to be specific) and I don’t have access to one. I wonder if anyone has an ink descriptor file they would share as a starting point for these printers.
Thanks!
