Charlie, Did you click the little lock icon at the bottom right of the info window? You're be prompted to enter your password and then you can change the permissions. Then relock afterward... After doing that one you shouldn't need to change again. I found that I needed to change the permissions for any printer I added/installed after upgrading to El Cap, but printers that were there before upgrading were fine. Weird right. HTH, RB
