That's as maybe, but using QTR was just something I wanted to look at whilst I had a large Epson printer here for a week or so (with a hefty supply of ink and papers).

Since the P7000 is not officially listed and there are no curves for it, it was always going to be an experimental item, for another article and not part of the review. I may well get to experiment more - it was 2005 I last wrote about making ink curves for QTR. I've long appreciated Roy's work for people who want to experiment with aspects of B&W printing, even if I've never personally wanted to go for custom ink sets (much less easy to get in the UK than over the pond).

The P7000 does print perfectly well from Photoshop, both for colour and B&W - I've been making assorted profiles this afternoon for a range of papers. The print quality is excellent - for individual prints, I have no need of any other software, in the same way I print my work with our Canon iPF8300. Other have their own preferences...

BTW I noticed recently that the Mac ColorSync Utility now has a 'print as target' mode if you load target files - a bit less clunky to use than the ACPU
