QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hello Walker,


I have a second hand 3880 that waits for me to decide which ink set I will put in to print negatives.
I print every week (maybe not enough) with the Epson inks to avoid settlement and clogs.
Please, should I stop printing before any cartridge runs dry to collect the chips, or can empty cartridges chips do the trick?
Also, is shaking the whole printer something that can be done safely, even turning it upside down!?
I will probably end loading InkThrift CL in it, so will need to flush, right?
Then Piezoflush in the machine would solve storage issues much better.

It’s hard to find these 3880s though, although I see one now on the refurb site this morning. Just fyi on the piezo carts for these. They require OEM chips to be placed under special resetter chips. So keep your old OEM chips. (As many as you can really, sometimes chips wear out.)
