I don't wish to be one of those totally retentive pedants, but I think that some precision in the use of terminology would minimise confusion. I prefer to use the work "curve" for QTR's .quad/.qifd (.txt on a Mac) files and the word "profile" for an ICC file. Otherwise the word "profile" is used for both and confusion ensues. Keith used the term "ICC profiles" to make the distinction, but the problem with this is that it's all too easy for the "ICC" part to get dropped.

I agree with this statement made by Keith in a later post: "My personal feeling is that many new users make QTR much more complicated than necessary by thinking they have to make custom profiles right from the beginning. Learn to use the included profiles first, then move on to custom profiles if you need them. "

Where are you looking for the curves? They are not the same as icc profiles and do not appear in the Printer Profile list under Color Management.

BTW - the terms profile and curve are synonymous in QTR.
